Words of Advice

So that's how our village came to change the story of its little Post Office to become a bigger, stronger community shop.

It wasn’t always plain sailing.

We’ve had doubts, differences of opinion and made plenty of mistakes along the way.

We’ve laughed and cried together and solved tricky problems in a global pandemic.

However we continue to strive and believe in each other – reaching into the future for our current, and future generations, so they can enjoy meeting, chatting, and shopping in a special place that is genuinely the heart of our community.

Thanks to our volunteers, we’ve opened our doors every day; come rain, snow or shine - thousands of customers have been greeted with a friendly smile and a cheery hello.

Sound like a fairy tale?

Well, there’s nothing fantastic or unreal about the characters in this one. We’re probably a lot like you, so if you get the chance to change the story of your community shop - go ahead, Get Involved.

If we can do it, so can you...
